DIAMOND JUBILEE BUFFET LUNCHEON
Sunday 13th May 2012
The Trustees are pleased to be able to report that the total profit from the above event was £1,171.00, which has been paid into the FISHAC Charity Account.
This is a really lovely result and our grateful thanks are due to everyone who supported the event – 91 in all, plus some who gave donations instead of attending, those who brought friends with them to swell the numbers, those who so generously provided the super Raffle Prizes, June, Nicola and Beryl who sold lots of Raffle Tickets and to Roy who took photos, and Paulette for organising everything.
We were so lucky to have ‘Royal Weather’. It was a real Jubilee Celebration and was a perfect start to feeling part of this National Historic Event. The Staff at the Queens Hotel did a splendid job, We were so thrilled to have The Mayor, Cllr Barbara Driver with us as our Special Guest together with other Councillors and Officers. Both The Mayor and Bob gave a suberb speeches followed by The Loyal Toast and David kept the prizes flowing during the raffle.
One of our Guests, Mrs. Rose Barden arrived with a beautiful Jubilee Chocolate cake as a surprise Extra Raffle Prize which created our Jubilee Finale!
